Coverage by region

  • Australia: excellent in cities and along highways, but large parts of the outback have no signal.
  • New Zealand: good in towns; patchy in Fiordland, on the West Coast and in alpine passes.
  • Pacific islands: main islands are usually covered; outer islands may rely on resort Wi-Fi.

Tips

  • Download offline maps before road trips.
  • Install the eSIM at home, but turn it on after landing.
  • Keep your home SIM active for bank verification codes.
